Artificial intelligence is a topic that has been the subject of discussion in recent years, as it is expected to radically change work as we know it today. However, it can also significantly improve our quality of life and health, but it also has the potential to kill us as human beings. To understand what artificial intelligence is, we must first define what human intelligence is. However, this task is difficult since each person has a different idea of what human intelligence is. Alan Turing, one of the fathers of computing, proposed a clever solution more than 50 years ago. According to him, no matter what intelligence is, we speak of artificial intelligence when a computer manages to replicate human behavior in such a way that when we interact with it, we cannot know if it is a person or a machine. This definition has motivated researchers of several generations to replicate human behavior in various fields. For example, nowadays, it is difficult to know if our opponent in an online chess game is a person or a machine. Computers have also surpassed human performance in some fields, such as detecting people in photos. However, there is still much to discover in the field of artificial intelligence and its impact on our daily lives.
